MEET THE FLEET – Martin Sheen
Sometimes in conservation what you need is a vessel capable of silently cruising, without disrupting the environment it is in, and that’s where Sea Shepherd’s vessel the Martin Sheen comes in. The Martin Sheen is our research vessel, primarily tasked with researching human-caused pollution and rare cetaceans, but has also been spearheading Operation Virus Hunter in Canada.
After several months in quarantine due to the threat of COVID-19, the Martin Sheen is now ready to return to sea and continue its vital research for the health of the oceans. Help the ship and her crew get back out to sea: act.seashepherdglobal.org
Sea Shepherd is an international, non-profit marine conservation organization that engages in direct action campaigns to defend wildlife, and conserve and protect the world’s oceans from illegal exploitation and environmental destruction.
